Caring for your Bayb water bottle is not just about keeping it clean; it's about ensuring its longevity, maintaining its performance, and safeguarding your health. Here are some of our best tips to help you keep your water bottle in top condition:
- Wash Regularly: Although our water bottles are dishwasher safe*, we also recommend regularly washing your water bottle with warm, soapy water after each use. Use a bottle brush to scrub the inside thoroughly, especially in hard-to-reach areas. Rinse it well with clean water to remove any soap residue.
- Remove the Mouth Piece for Cleaning: You are able to remove the silicone mouth piece by gently puling up on the silicone and carefully wedging a knife between the mouth piece and the plastic holding it together. One side of the plastic case holding the mouth piece together should come off to remove the silicone mouth piece. For a detailed video on how to do this step, please see our instagram post.
- Use Vinegar Solution for Deep Cleaning: For deeper cleaning, use a vinegar solution. Mix equal parts of white vinegar and water, then soak all parts of the water bottle in the solution for about 3 minutes. After soaking, scrub the bottle with a bottle brush, then rinse it thoroughly with water.
- Dry Completely: After washing or soaking your water bottle, ensure it is completely dry before storing it. Moisture left inside the bottle can create a breeding ground for bacteria and mould. Use a clean towel or air-dry the bottle upside down to allow any remaining moisture to evaporate.
- Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners on your water bottle, as they can damage the materials and affect the taste of your water. Stick to mild dish soap to keep your bottle clean without compromising its integrity.
